What is World Cow Day?

World Cow Day is a celebration for a day, movement for a lifetime and revolution for a millennium! It is a global event highlighting my significance and my immense contribution towards sustainable development.

When is the World Cow Day Celebration?

World Cow Day will be celebrated on 1 September 2025. However, to facilitate your visit at your convenience, the celebration will be held from 15 August 2025 to 1 September 2025.
You can come to visit any day during this duration. Each sanctuary will have their own visit days and time as per their availability.

How do I celebrate World Cow Day?

World Cow Day can be celebrated in two ways.

1. If there is a sanctuary/farm near you, you can directly visit me and celebrate the day with me.
2. If there is no sanctuary/farm near you, you can still celebrate the day with me – individually or in groups.

So either you come to my home, or I come to your place.

1. World Cow Day Celebration at Sanctuary/Farm:

For celebrating World Cow Day, please visit your nearest sanctuary/farm on any of their available days during the duration of the event. Please ensure, the World Cow Day is celebrated only at sanctuaries/farms that do not engage in cruelty to cows or any other animals.
You can be involved in any of the activities of your choice below as per the guidelines set by the sanctuary/farm you visit.

• Visit my home – Sanctuary/Farm visit.
  Visiting my home will provide you with a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, allowing you to relax, reconnect, refresh and rejuvenate yourself. Moreover, coming to my home with your family be a fun and engaging experience, creating lasting memories for the whole family.
• Express your love for me – Cow Affection
  I feel great joy when you express your love by showing your affection for me. Yes, you can touch me, caress me, cuddle me, hug me, embrace me, brush me. Even if you do nothing, just be near me and enjoy my presence.
• Join me for a meal – Cow Feeding
  I enjoy yummy, delicious food especially when being fed by my loved ones. You can feed me according to my diet as per my home guidelines.
• Share your heart, I am listening – Cow Talk
  You can talk to me and share your heart with me. I do listen, in fact, I enjoy listening and if you observe me carefully, I also respond to your talk – I stretch out my neck, my ears are held in relaxed positions, and I reduce my visible eyes.
• Love in action - Cow Service
  To love is to serve. I have been serving humanity for ages and will continue to serve for ages. And I am glad you are coming to reciprocate your love by serving me. Whether it is taking care of my daily needs or medical care, etc., your service means a lot to me.

NB: Please note that every activity may not be available in the sanctuary/farm you visit as every sanctuary/farm decides the activities they can facilitate at their premises.

2. World Cow Day Celebration – Individually / Groups:

Yes, you can celebrate World Cow Day even if I am not near you. Because I know – Even if I may not be near you, I am always close to your heart!

You can engage in any activities that can highlight my significance and my immense contribution towards sustainable development. Reference activities are mentioned below.

• Gatherings in Groups
  Family / Friends Get-together involving knowledge and fun based activities like Games, Quiz, Contest, Drawing, Clay modelling, Storytelling etc. It can be a memorable gathering involving both kids and adults alike.
• Organizing Cow Conferences
  Organizing conferences/summits inviting experts, researchers etc in knowledge sharing of the immense information available about the benefits of cows to society.
• Giving value-based education to children
  Conducting value-based education in schools to children about the benefits of cows and her significance and contribution in the society.
• Conducting Seminars in Colleges / Universities
  Organizing seminars in educational institutes on different topics related to cows’ contribution along with its application in society through various research papers highlighting her significance.
• Social awareness about the benefits of cows
  Organizing social awareness amongst people in co-ordination with different organizations coming together to showcase the relevance of cows in today’s world.
• Group excursions
  To execute different initiatives, campaigns, promotions and organizing field trips to provide direct hands-on experience to participants about the significance of cows.
• Debate competitions
  To organize debate competitions to nurture young minds to go in depth with the study, research and analysis on different relevant topics related to cow and her role in society.
